Did Gwyneth Introduce Jake Gyllenhaal & Taylor Swift?

Caption Taylor Swift & Jake Gyllenhaal (Inset: Gwyneth Paltrow)LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- While many folks may have been surprised by Jake Gyllenhaal & Taylor Swift’s seemingly out-of-nowhere romance, there’s at least one star that saw the relationship blossom from the start – Gwyneth Paltrow!
USA Today spoke recently with the Oscar-winning “Country Strong” star and asked her about rumors that the two young lovebirds met each other at Gwyneth & Chris Martin’s home.
“It’s so weird. I wonder how people find out these things. It was a while ago, so I don’t know why it would come out today,” she told the publication after being told about the rumor, noting she was “scared to say” much more.
So, how exactly did the fateful meeting come about?
“I’ve just known Jake for a long time and he’s a great guy,” she explained (the two starred together in the 2005 film, “Proof”), noting that her husband (and Coldplay frontman) Chris “has a friendship with Taylor.”
The new couple has been spotted together several times since whispers first surfaced about a possible love connection in October.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Jake, 29, and Taylor, 20, were first spotted spending time together while hanging out backstage at “Saturday Night Live,” when Taylor’s good friend, Emma Stone, hosted the show on October 23.
Most recently, they were spotted together in Brooklyn on Thanksgiving morning and again in Nashville, Tenn., a few days later.
