This morning, I was down at the “American Music Awards” nominations for the big show airing Sunday, November 21, on ABC. When the names were announced, the match-up that had everyone buzzing at the press conference was “Justin Bieber vs. Eminem”… in three categories. The two polar opposite artists - one squeaky clean, the other just squeaky - will take on each other in the categories of favorite pop or rock music male artist, favorite pop or rock music album and favorite artist of the year.
Lance Bass, who will be hosting a live red carpet pre-show for the web on AMA night, was present today at the press conference and told me he predicts that Biebs and Eminem would somehow take the stage together. Could a duet be a possibility? How would Bieber fans react to that? Lance and I discussed that, plus, he broke down whom he is rooting for on “Dancing with the Stars” this season. Check out our interview HERE.
On a more serious topic, Lance opened up about his own experiences with bullying in school and what he thinks can be done to help stop the bullying epidemic here in America. Watch his story HERE.
Demi Lovato was also on hand to help announce the nominations alongside Taio Cruz. Demi is currently on tour with The Jonas Brothers and heads down to South America tomorrow, but first, she shared with me her plans for her sophomore studio album. I also wanted to find out her take on the controversy over her BFF Miley Cyrus’ new music video for the song “Who Owns My Heart?” As any good friend would, she promptly defended Miley. Check out her reaction HERE.
“Dynamite” singer Taio was excited about his first AMA nomination in the breakthrough artist category. He admitted, however, to being nervous going up against Justin Bieber. How is he handling his sudden rise to fame and how is he breaking the fashion rules of music? Check out our interview HERE.
