LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The “Glee” cast has some huge news today. Plus, reality TV’s most villainous female is looking for love — what Omarosa has to say about her search for Mr. Right. And, which “Grey’s Anatomy” doctor just landed some shiny new hardware for directing an episode of the drama?
“Glee” Goes Live! The cast of FOX’s hit TV show is heading out on a tour for a four-city exclusive live in concert engagement. The concert was conceived by the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, and will include live performances of some of the show’s most memorable numbers, including “Don’t Stop Believin,” “Somebody to Love” and “Jump.” All the members of the McKinley High glee club will be joining the tour - Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith), Mercedes (Amber Riley), Kurt (Chris Colfer), Artie (Kevin McHale), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), Puck (Mark Salling), Quinn (Dianna Agron), Santana (Naya Rivera), Brittany (Heather Morris), Mike (Harry Shum, Jr.) and Matt (Dijon Talton). Or as Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) called them in the season’s most hilarious (albeit sooo wrong!) roll call moment, “Santana, Wheels, Gay Kid, Asian, other Asian, Aretha, Shaft!” Tour dates and ticket info HERE www.gleetour2010.com
New episodes of “Glee” return to FOX on Tuesday, April 13.
Larry David’s “Discussions” No word yet on whether or not Larry David will do a new season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for HBO. However, I did hear some interesting news over the weekend. A source tells me that Larry is working on a new show set to be called “The Discussions.” It said to be a panel type show where Larry and his friends and/or former co-stars will watch clips from past episodes and discuss whether or not what Larry did in the show was moral or immoral. Sounds just crazy enough to work! The show is set to start taping in April. No word yet what channel will carry it.
Omarosa’s Looking For Love Former “Apprentice” villainess Omarosa Maginault Stallworth has wrapped production on her show, “The Ultimate Merger,” for the TV One network. In the show Omarosa, with the help of Donald Trump, is on a quest to find love. “Twelve bachelors. One Omarosa. Need I say more? And one Donald Trump,” Omarosa joked to Shaun Robinson at the NAACP Image Awards. Omarosa said Trump rolled out the red carpet for her and the show, while filming took place at Trump’s hotel in Las Vegas, but not everything was always rosy between the two former reality TV “co-workers.” “We still fight! It was incredible. I walked into his office on the first day of shooting and he just went off on me! But he’s an incredible mentor. You want mentors who are tough.” As for whether or not she actually found love on the show, Omarosa would only say this, “I get to choose one. The last three I didn’t know who I was gonna choose. I could have closed my eyes!”
Chandra’s Winning Moment Turns out moonlighting as a director on “Grey’s Anatomy” this season was a good idea for Chandra Wilson (Dr. Miranda Bailey). The actress picked up an award for Directing In A Dramatic Series at the NAACP Image Awards this weekend. “I just feel so honored to be recognized. It’s a little bit of a confidence booster, I must say,” she told Shaun Robinson backstage. Chandra just finished directing her second episode of the series which is set to air later this Spring. “I was a real good boss. I just picked people up and moved them where they need to be,” she joked. While she would not give out any upcoming plots points, Chandra gushed about how easily the cast and crew made it for her to switch acting and directing hats. “It has been almost a seamless transition in a way. We are a big old family that have been together for a long time over. We already have shorthand with the cast. We already have shorthand with the crew. We get through our days in a really nice way. People get home to see their kids for a change.”
