LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

The estate of the late Adam Goldstein, AKA DJ AM, have amended the star’s lawsuit against several companies over the 2008 plane crash that left him badly burned and hospitalized to include an allegation of wrongful death, according to reports on Friday.

“As a direct result” of the crash, DJ AM “was severely injured and damaged and ultimately died” because of the incident, according to the amended court paperwork posted on Radar Online.

According to the court papers posted on the site, the estate, which includes Goldstein’s mother, Andrea Gross, and his sister, Lara Long, claim they have suffered a host of damages from DJ AM’s death including the “loss of the future contributions from the” celebrity spinner and “the loss of the decedent’s love, companionship, comfort, affection, society, solace and moral support.”

They also claim they have “suffered mental shock and… wounded feelings, grief and sorrow.”

As a result of DJ AM’s death, the estate claims they have lost his “knowledge and judgment in business affairs” as well as “lost inheritance,” “loss of earnings and earning capacity” and “funeral expenses.”

When the suit was originally filed by Goldstein in March 2009, he was seeking $20 million in damages.

The estate is seeking a jury trial.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, DJ AM died in August, the result of a drug overdose.
