The cast of “Doctor Who” are hard at work on the series’ 50th anniversary special, and on Monday, the BBC treated fans with a photo from behind the scenes.
The British network Tweeted THIS photo of current Doctor – Matt Smith, next to former Doctor David Tennant.
“The read through has just finished for the #DoctorWho50th Special!” then network wrote to accompany the pic.
Over the weekend, BBC America revealed that David and Billie Piper, who played his companion, Rose Tyler, will both appear in the 50th Anniversary special.
John Hurt will also co-star in the anniversary special.
In a recent interview with AccessHollywood.com, Jenna-Louise Coleman, who plays the Doctor’s newest companion, Clara, hinted at the upcoming 50th, by noting she’d recently been asked if she was afraid of heights.
She also told Access that her grandmother, a “Doctor Who” superfan was likely to come to the set for the 50th
“I think she’s gonna come on set when we’re filming the 50th, which she’s very excited about. She’s gonna be patting Matt a lot. Matt’s her favorite Doctor,” Jenna-Louise laughed.
“Doctor Who” airs on Saturday nights at 8 PM on BBC America. The 50th special will hit screens in November.
