“Dollhouse” will soon be going out of business.
The Joss Whedon fantasy drama ends after its current 13-episode order, with the series finale scheduled to air Jan. 22, according to a person familiar with the show who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to discuss it.

The Fox network is making a play for laughs next season, with four new comedies planned and a late Saturday-night series with Wanda Sykes.
“Glee” uses a pop-music soundtrack for an aspirational high school series and starts in the fall after getting a special preview Tuesday. Former New York Giant Michael Strahan is in a series about an ex-NFL star who goes back to live with his mother, and Fox is also doing a “Family Guy” spinoff.

Paley Fest, a yearly event dedicated to discussions about some of the best shows on television, broke from tradition this year by inviting smaller screen triumph “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog” to the event.
Created by TV icon / sacrificial-lamb Joss Whedon during the ‘07/‘08 Writers Strike, “Dr. Horrible” is a dark comedic musical that debuted online about a super-villain attempting to make a name for himself in the big bad world of super-heroes.
AccessHollywood.com’s Laura “Dish of Salt” Saltman got a chance to talk to Joss about how it felt to be invited to what was, until now, an event that only honored televised works.

I was watching last Friday’s episode of “Battlestar Galactica,” and it finally hit me: Only 3 more episodes to go before this landmark series comes to a close after 4 spectacular seasons on the Sci-Fi Channel. It may not have been a huge ratings hit (like, say, “American Idol” or “Dancing with the Stars”), but “Galactica” – or “BSG,” as it has come to be known – was thought-provoking TV at its finest, thanks to great stories and complex characters.
