Double Trouble For ‘Real Housewives’ Husbands

Caption Teresa and Joe Giudice (left), Simon and Tamra Barney (right)LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- “Real Housewives of New Jersey” character Joe Guidice has been jailed for driving with a suspended license, stemming from an incident which took place back in May.
The jailing of Joe, husband of “RHONJ’s” Teresa Giudice, comes just weeks after the Bravo reality show’s explosive two part reunion that saw a catfight (followed by some hugs) between the women of the primetime program.
Joe was arrested in January on DUI charges. The aftermath of his arrest was chronicled on “RHONJ,” as Joe claimed to friends and his wife that he dozed off and hit a telephone pole. Afterward, as he waited for help to arrive, he claimed he then started drinking booze that was in his car at the time.
As a result of the DUI, Joe’s license was suspened for a year, he was fined $864 and given 30 days of community service, Radar Online reported.
Radar Online later reported that cops caught Joe driving on May 17, just a few months into his year-long driving ban, and booked him on a driving with a suspended license charge. It was that offense that prompted a judge to sentence him to 10 days in jail.
The website reported that Joe, a father of three, could be out early if he behaves while behind bars.
Joe isn’t the only “Housewives” husband in trouble with the law.
Simon Barney, the estranged husband of “Real Housewives of O.C.” star Tamra, who bills herself as the “hottest” housewife, was reportedly arrested on alleged domestic violence charges on Tuesday morning. Radar reported that Simon was taken into custody after Tamra claimed he hit her with a dog leash. He was reportedly released from jail on Tuesday afternoon.
