WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. --

Drew Barrymore was involved in a hit and run accident Monday, Access Hollywood has learned.

The LA Sheriff’s Department said the incident occurred just before noon on Gardner St. near Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. According to the Associated Press, the actress was rear-ended.

When the driver who allegedly struck Drew’s car fled the scene, the “Charlie’s Angels” actress went into hot pursuit, following the other driver, LA Sheriff’s Department told Access.

Drew was able to take down the license plate of the car that fled the scene.

Luckily, Drew was not injured.

The alleged hit and run is under investigation by the LA Sheriff’s Department.
