Could that green drink you're drinking each morning be filled with toxins? Products that are so-called healthy to buy are not always healthy. Expert lifestyle and author danette may is here to tell us the truth. Five lies about the healthy foods. What's the first big, fat harry live. Oh, my goodness. Green drinks, they're the rage right now. Celebrity webs fitness guru res touting green drinks to have every day. That is a good thing. But we take it beyond where it becomes unhealthy. Let me just share with you. Basically, in your green drink, if you were getting into this hype and not have time to prepare your own, you might go to the grocery store and buy a prepackaged green drink. Be careful because they're loaded with sugars, which defeats the purpose. And the other thing, too, is to watch out for produce that's not organic or is not washed. You could be down ago glass of pesticides. A lot of vitamin res fat soluble. So if you want an extra kick, throw some fat into your green drink. Doesn't take on any flavor. You can flow in flaxseed oil or hemp seed. I put the flaxseed oil in a lot of my kids' stuff, too, and I love that. And if you're on the go like I am all the time, I would do a green drink powder, which has floating water drink first thing in the morning. Perfect. Wheat bread, you always hear wheat bread is the way to go. No more white, let's do wheat. Now we think we're healthy, we have more fiber. Not true. And this is what I love to teach people. I think we get so confused with what's being marketed out there. But the wheat bread that we're consuming contains a compound called amolorpectina. It spikes your blood sugars and it's different than other -- you know, it can have -- this two slices of bread can have about two tablespoons of sugar in it. If not whee bread, what are you supposed to eat? Substitute with almond flour, brown rice flour. And I made these cookies for you guys today. These cookies have no flour with them and these muffin res made with almond flour. It's good. Yeah. They're amazing. And my kids love the chocolate lip cookies. These are good. Yogurt, what's the deal with yogurt? Give us the truth and the lies. This gets confusing, right? You go into the grocery store. There's tons of yogurts laid out. Some with fruit in the bottom, some that say low fat, no fat. SOME WITH M&Ms ON TOP. When they say low fat, no fat, be careful because they're loaded with artificial sweeteners. Sucrose, or artificial sweeteners will spike your insulin levels and it creates this, like, caving inside of you so you want to eat more of it. So it's counterproductive. Get a plain organic greek yogurt and flavor it yourself with natural sweetener like honey, stevia, maybe 100% maple syrup, your own fruit. It's a better way to go. Drinking tea has benefits. Drinking tea has benefits. Right? It does, doesn't it? It does, but you have to be careful. Once again, what happens within our industry is we start producing products that are not beneficial. So really look on the package. If on the back it says artificial flavorings or natural flavorings, run the other way. Not a good kois. And also the teas that are prepackaged, be careful, too, because once again they're loaded with sugars. It defeels feet the purpose of healthy. Really try to find a green tea that has no sugars in it and only has the ingredients on it, no artificial flavorings. You add a little honey to it, a little natural honey and we're talking. The oils, grape seed oil, coconut oil, there's so many different oils my head can explode. Okay. Yeah. Almond oil. Most of the products we're eating we have canola oil in it. We thought canola oil was healthy, right? Actually, it's not. What they've done to the process of canola oil is heated up really, really high which creates this oxidation and they put this chemical kol vent in it called hexane. Once you start adding the chemicals, it's kount productive for your health. That doesn't sound good. You want to do a natural oil. Coconut oil, organic virgin coconut oil, organic virgin olive oil. I've never seen grape seed oil. Yes. This is probably because it's cold in here in the studio. Take it out, put it at room temperature. It will start melting. It will go liquid storm. That's good on your skin. Remember, I put it in your hands one day. I love coconut oil. Rub it on your body and use it for everything. Look at her. She is doing all this stuff and she looks great.
