I need to tell you. About my 2 brother. You are my water and power. Can't have one without the other. Water and power. Do something good. The other is something Good afternoon, I'm Tom. We have new developments in the breaking news out of New Jersey. The parking lot of the marshalls in Garfield, as you can see, has turned into a crime scene. Two people shot including a Patterson police officer. Witnesses tell our Jen who is on the scene right now that a police officer was in a shootout with a suspect. Another witness tells us they heard at least eight gunshots. Shoppers fled back into the store when the gunfire started. There are several other stores that dot the parking lot including a Walmart. It's along passaic street. Sources are telling Brian Thompson, that the officer's injuries are not life threatening. Customers in nearby stores hid in the back of stores as soon as shots rang out. We don't know what lead up to the shooting yet. A heavy police presence still in the area. It happened shortly before 2:00 around 1:45. Right now police are looking for a blue has za that apparently had some type of squex to the shooting. They're looking for a blue mazda in the area. If you're seen the mazda call police. We'll have more on the story starting at 5:00 and up-to-the minute updates on nbc.com. For now, we return to "Access Hollywood live." Dignity of the family versus what needs to be done that night. It's one night of between the 2 brothers. Like crash in a way. Oh, yes but it's, it's very original. Very, very nice all the way around and since this is Earth day. Everybody water. You need it. Power. We need it. I lake you brought that around that was good. Shot 12 nights in L.A. L.a. Sort of the third character in this. Where do we go. It's the fears charge. L.a. Becomes very -- it's a really -- American me really brought out a lot of understanding about this, the understanding east la this just like naeast la this just like nails it. It's just amazing. Very simple story. Don't get me wrong. It was very humble. There's a lot of grit actors in it. How hairsd to it get a movie like this made from the discrepancy did you put your own dough in here. I'm grateful that mark Roberts and myself have been executive producers on it and mark went out and found the funding for this and it took very, very humble movie. 12 nights. And we all worked. Small budget. Oh, yes. Everybody is working for scale one of those passion project. Yes e-listen you have been -- you have been doing this a long time mostly the acting game for a long time. Jennifer Lopez you were here father in Selena back in 1997. Miami vice. She was j.lo. Did did you predict she would be the huge star that she is today. I never thought about it that way. I just knew that she had done a brilliant job and she should have been nominated and won the academy award for that year. It was a brilliant performance. Not onlperformance. Not only the finest performance she's ever given in her life and not to say she hasn't given otherssay she hasn't given others, stunning pieces of work but you can't compare it. If you watch this show, if you watch that movie, she encompassed she brought the person to life. Reporter: Yes. That is not her. That was that is not Jennifer Lopez. Reporter: Good to see you sir.
