ELLE To Honor Nine Of Hollywood's Most Celebrated Women For 17th Annual Women In Hollywood Event
ELLE magazine has announced the line-up for this year’s 17th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration.
ELLE, together with presenting sponsors Calvin Klein Collection, Calvin Klein Beauty, L’Oréal Paris, and David Yurman, will bring together an intimate group of Hollywood’s best and brightest talent for a celebratory dinner honoring women’s achievements in film at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills Hotel on October 18, 2010.
The tribute features a diverse group of women who have had a profound impact on the film industry. This year’s honorees include an amazing five Academy Award Winners – best actresses Gwyneth Paltrow (“Shakespeare in Love”), Hilary Swank (“Boys Don’t Cry”, “Million Dollar Baby”), Diane Keaton (“Annie Hall”) and Jodie Foster (“The Accused”) along with esteemed director/screenwriter Sofia Coppola (“Lost in Translation,” Best Original Screenplay).
Several of today’s most acclaimed actresses will also be honored: Diane Kruger, Kate Hudson and Kerry Washington. Emerging actress Jessica Chastain (“Tree of Life”, “Stolen”) will receive the Calvin Klein Collection Emerging Star Spotlight Award.
“This year’s Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration gathers one of the most extraordinary groups of women we have ever had the pleasure of honoring,” ELLE editor-in-chief Roberta Myers said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “We’re very excited to celebrate this diverse group of women who represent the best of Hollywood, on and off the screen.”
Last year’s honorees include Julie Andrews, Emily Blunt, Katie Holmes, Julianne Moore, Zoe Saldana, casting director Bonnie Timmermann, Robin Wright, and Renee Zellweger. Past recipients of this honor include Meryl Streep, Charlize Theron, Jane Fonda, Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Salma Hayek, Anne Hathaway, Sigourney Weaver, Isla Fisher, and Anjelica Huston.
