CHICAGO, Illinois --

After 11 months of campaigning to be on the cover of O Magazine with Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres made her big debut on Friday.

The ladies of daytime appear together on the cover of the December issue, which will feature two covers – one for newsstands buyers and another for subscribers. The “Get Your Glow On!” themed issue hits newsstands on November 12.

“My goal is to be the biggest selling issue she’s ever had,” Ellen said.

And she was off to a good start on Friday! Ellen and Oprah invited 1,000 fans to Chicago’s Water Tower Park to get a signed copy of their magazine cover.

“Who wouldn’t want to see Me & Oprah signing copies of our new magazine cover? Come to the Water Tower Park to be one of the first 1000!,” Ellen Tweeted Friday.

And following the meet and greet with fans, she wrote on her Twitter page, “Great crowd!”
