Elliott Yamin, ‘American Idol’ Finalist, Tweets From Chilean Quake

BURBANK, Calif.

Season 5 “American Idol” 3^rd place finalist Elliott Yamin had just returned back to his hotel after finishing a performance as part of a singing competition festival in Vina Del Mar, Chile, when he felt the magnitude 8.8 earthquake which hit the South American country Saturday morning just after 3 AM local time.

He immediately took to his Twitter account and began updating.

“Huge earthquake just now in Chile!!….I swear I thought this was the end of my life!!!!!” his first Twitter read.
