Eva Longoria Parker To Appear In Mexican Movie On Kidnapping, Taking Her First Spanish-Language Role

MEXICO CITY, Mexico -- Caption Eva Longoria is all smiles as she arrives to the 2009 White House Correspondents’ DinnerActress Eva Longoria Parker is taking on a Spanish-speaking role for the first time in a Mexican film about kidnapping.

Film producer Leopoldo Gout says Longoria Parker’s character will be crucial to solving the mystery at the heart of the film, which is called “Day of Grace.”

Gout doesn’t want to reveal any other details but says the “Desperate Housewives” actress “read the script and loved the characters and the story’s depth.”

Gout told the Reforma newspaper that the movie is being filmed in Mexico City. Its release date is not yet known.
