WASHINGTON, D.C. --
Eva Longoria, Tyra Banks, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore gathered in Washington, D.C., on Saturday evening for the annual White House Correspondents’ dinner with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Stars – including Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon, Chace Crawford, Jon Hamm, Bradley Cooper, George Lucas and Steve Spielberg — mingled with journalists including CNN’s Wolf Blitzer at the $200-a-ticket event.
Wanda Sykes entertained guests at the dinner, poking fun at the guest of honor – President Obama. In particular, the comedian referenced his recent gift of an iPhone to the Queen when he visited the United Kingdom.
“What are you going to give the Pope, a Bluetooth?” Sykes asked according to the Associated Press.
The comedian also threw a barb Michelle’s way, making reference to when the First Lady patted the Queen on the back during the couple’s visit.
“Like she just slid into home plate – way to go, queen!” Wanda said, according to the AP.
And President Obama tried out a few lines too. He reportedly poked fun at himself over his use of Teleprompters.
The black-tie event supports the needy and helps fund journalism scholarships.
