LOS ANGELES, Calif.
TV Guide Network says it will air a special program starring singing sensation Susan Boyle next month.
The one-hour documentary, “I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story,” will feature performances by Boyle, plus interviews with her as well as friends and celebrities including Simon Cowell, a producer of the special.

Entertainment trade publication Variety has announced the line up for their Third Annual Variety’s Power of Youth event, dubbed the “World’s Greatest Block Party,” on Paramount Studios’ “streets of New York” in Los Angeles on December 5, 2009.
This year’s event, produced in conjunction with Variety’s annual Youth Impact Report, features an exclusive afternoon of festivities and live performances. A prominent entertainment law firm is suing Rod Stewart for $3.3 million in legal fees it claims he owes.
Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard & Shapiro filed the case Tuesday in Los Angeles. The firm has numerous high-profile clients and recently won judgments for architect Frank Gehry and television host Bob Barker.

Sunday night brought the final stop of U2’s soldout North American tour at the famed Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The biggest stadium gig ever to perform at the Bowl (thanks in part to their stage), quickly turned into a global phenomenon… as the band streamed the entire show to the world making it the first global concert Web cast on YouTube. The 2016 Olympics are going to Rio de Janeiro, putting the games in South America for the first time.
Rio beat surprise finalist Madrid in the last round of voting.
Chicago was knocked out in the first round — in one of the most shocking defeats ever handed down by the International Olympic Committee — and Tokyo was eliminated in the second round.
Nearly 50,000 people cheered in celebration when Rio de Janeiro was announced as host of the 2016 Olympics, jumping and shouting in a Carnival-like party on Copacabana beach.
