Superman has landed!
The first image of British actor Henry Cavill as Superman in the upcoming Zack Snyder-directed “Man of Steel” has been released.
Earlier this month, Henry told Access Hollywood that the movie had begun filming in Chicago and was off to a great start.
“It’s fantastic,” he told Access at Comic-Con 2011. “It’s one of the best scripts I’ve ever read.”
“It’s going really well,” he added.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Henry is joined in “Man of Steel” by Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet editor-in-chief, Perry White, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as and Faora (Zod’s evil partner), Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick, Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy, Julia Ormond as Superman’s mother Lara Lor-Van, Russell Crowe as Superman’s father Jor-El and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner who will play Martha and Jonathan Kent.
“Man of Steel” is slated for release on June 14, 2013.
