Former ‘Laguna Beach’ Star Jason Wahler In Jail

SEATTLE, Wash. --

Former “Laguna Beach” star and ex-boyfriend of Lauren Conrad, Jason Wahler, has been jailed.

The ex-reality star, who has had numerous run-ins with the law since his MTV reality show days, was booked on an assault and minor drinking charges, Radar Online first reported.

The 22-year-old was booked in Seattle last Friday.

According to the Yakima County Department of Corrections Web site, Wahler was booked into the Yakima County Jail midday Tuesday.

A jail spokesperson said the troubled former reality star was sent to the facility after being sentenced by a judge, Radar Online reported.

Additionally, a Seattle court rep told the Web site that Wahler “will serve 120 days in jail, but could get out after 80 days for good behavior.”

It was not immediately clear why the of-legal-age Wahler was charged with minor drinking.

Back in 2007, Wahler, who had previously been charged with assault and had several arrests related to drinking, spoke out about his sobriety.

“I relate to Lindsay [Lohan] because she’s the same age as I am. I’m only 20. And to say that I can’t drink ever again – even on my 21st birthday – is hard. But I don’t care, as long as I’m healthy and happy,” Wahler told People at the time.

Wahler said booze was his poison.

“I did try drugs, but it was never my thing. It was alcohol, for sure. It would take me about 10 drinks before that other side came out. It’s like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,” he told the mag.
