NEW YORK, New York --

The key to impersonating Barack Obama?

His eyebrows.

Fred Armisen told NBC’s “Today” show that he started with Obama’s eyebrows when developing his impression for “Saturday Night Live.” He says he noticed that when Obama listens to people “his eyebrows go down.” He says he started there and worked his way through the rest of the impression. However, he says he’s still perfecting it.

John McCain was on SNL over the weekend, meaning that Darrell Hammond hung out with the candidate he’s been impersonating. He says he’s “very, very grateful” to McCain for making him feel comfortable.

As to who’ll be impersonating the president after tomorrow’s election, Armisen and Hammond jokingly predicted a tie.
