‘90210’ Picked Up For Full CW Season

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

America’s most famous zip code is sticking around.

The CW has announced that they are picking up “90210” for the full television season.

The show, which brought back original “90210” cast members Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth for several episodes, alongside the new class – AnnaLynne McCord, Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds and hot teacher Ryan Eggold — has found an audience with young viewers, CW President of Entertainment, Dawn Ostroff said in a statement released to Access Hollywood.

“The successful addition of ‘90210’ has taken The CW another step forward in building a cohesive schedule that defines this network as a destination for young women with shows that get our audience talking — and watching,” Ostroff’s statement read. “We’re very excited about the chance to watch this ensemble of newcomers and familiar faces coalesce and grow together as we move forward.”

“90210’s” season debut in early September broke records for the network, becoming the most-watched premiere in The CW’s history, with 12.7 million viewers. Though it has since dropped down to 3.3 million viewers for its last screened episode, show plot lines and twists – including revealing that Dylan McKay is the father of Kelly Taylor’s (played by Jennie Garth) son — have kept the fictional drama high in the headlines.
