Adrianne Palicki Cast As ‘Wonder Woman’

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Caption Adrianne Palicki attends the Fall 2010 PaleyFest TV Preview of the Fox television show “Lone Star” at the Paley Center For Media in Beverly Hills, Calif. on September 13, 2010 Former “Friday Night Lights” star Adrianne Palicki has been cast in David E. Kelley’s “Wonder Woman” pilot for NBC, a rep for NBC confirmed to Access Hollywood.

According to Deadline, who first reported the news, Adrianne – who also starred on FOX’s short-lived “Lone Star” this past fall – was the only actress invited to test for the coveted role.

TV’s original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, Tweeted about the news on Wednesday, writing, “Congratulations Adrianne!”

The crime-fighting reboot will reportedly be set in modern day Los Angeles where Adrianne will play three roles on the series – the crime fighter, alter ego billionaire business woman Diana Themyscira and her assistant, Diana Prince.
