Figure skater Nancy Kerrigan’s father was remembered by family and friends at a funeral in Massachusetts.

The former Olympian buried her face on her mother’s shoulder and appeared to weep as her father’s flag-draped casket was carried into St. Patrick’s church in Stoneham on Thursday.

Brittany Murphy’s friends and family gathered at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Hollywood Hills cemetery on Christmas Eve as the actress was laid to rest.

“Today a wife, a daughter, a niece, a cousin, a family member and dear friend to thousands was laid to rest,” the family said in a statement released to Access Hollywood following the service. “Brittany was an incredibly loving and passionate person and an artist to her core — she loved acting, singing, dancing, and performing. There are no words that can truly express the devastation felt by Brittany’s husband, mother, and everyone who attended the intimate service.”

Several guests said attendees participated in the open 12-step process used by recovering addicts in programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous. They requested anonymity because of the nature of the meeting.

Michael Jackson’s friends and family have gathered to bid farewell to the King of Pop at Forest Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuary in Glendale, California.

Dozens of stars including Elizabeth Taylor, Macaulay Culkin and his girlfriend, Mila Kunis, the Reverend Al Sharpton, Corey Feldman, Miko Brando, Michael’s ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley and Chris Tucker are seated among Michael’s family at a service being held in the outdoors.

The ceremony, which is just starting, was originally due to begin at 7 PM and was scheduled to last just one hour.

The Jackson family will continue to celebrate the life of Michael Jackson following the star’s private funeral Thursday night.

Access Hollywood has confirmed that the family has booked an Italian restaurant, Villa Sorriso Ristorante, in Pasadena, Calif., for family and guests following the funeral at Forest Lawn Glendale.
