BURBANK, Calif. --
“Girls” Season 2 is heading to Blu-Ray, DVD and digital download, and Access Hollywood has exclusive details about the release, and a first look at a very funny deleted scene, set to feature on the package.
Access can exclusively reveal that “Girls: The Complete Second Season” will be released on August 13.
And, as for that very, very amusing deleted scene – it features Hannah (“Girls” creator Lena Dunham) arguing with Marnie (Allison Williams) over whether she’s suited for a certain job – a conversation that turns into a discussion about the type of men attracted to Hannah.

Marnie does a fair amount of mud-slinging in the conversation, telling Hannah, “hermits, sociopaths [and] shut-ins],” seem to love her off/on pal. But watch the clip for Marnie’s real zingers.
“Girls: The Complete Second Season,” Blu-Ray with HBO select, will feature deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel, “The Making of ‘Girls’” featurette, a Charlie Rose interview with Lena, Emily Nussbaum’s interview with Lena from The New Yorker Festival, and more.

The DVD version will include the special features “Guys on Girls,” where the men of the show discuss what’s coming next for their characters, an “Inside the Episodes” series of features, the Episode 5 table read, and audio commentary from Lena, Judd Apatow, Allison, Zosia Mamet (Shoshanna Shapiro) and more.
In related HBO news, “Boardwalk Empire: The Complete Third Season,” will drop on Blu-Ray with HBO Select, DVD and digital download on August 20, while “Enlightened,” Season 2, is released on DVD and digital download on August 13.
