Girls To Return For Season 2 In January

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- “Girls” will return early next year.

HBO announced on Wednesday at the Television Critics Association summer tour in Beverly Hills that the comedy, from Lena Dunham, will return to the network in January 2013 for a 10-episode run.

“Enlightened,” which stars Laura Dern, will also premiere its second season in January.

“Girls” received five Emmy nominations this year, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a comedy series for creator Lena.
