I don’t know about you, but I’ve been getting some crazy good deals at all the sales going on right now. I’m talking about things that are 60 and 80 percent off! It’s never been easier, or more affordable to enjoy all the Summer trends.
“It’s such a fun season to get a lot of style for your money,” says Kate Dimmock, fashion director at People StyleWatch.
Here are some of her favorite tips!
White on white is a clean and modern look for summer. “A great white top, paired with a white skirt, then strappy sandals and a bag. It’s a fun monochromatic look that is so effortless chic,” says Dimmock.
Prints are everywhere this season. We’re seeing everything from tropical to global and beyond. Our favorite print for summer is florals! It’s feminine yet bold enough to create a cool summer vibe.
Show off your pedicure in cute sandals
Go for contrasting colors like a yellow pedicure with blue sandals. Or jade green with silver sandals. It’s a fun way to try out summer’s hottest nail shades in pops of color, and really show it off with your favorite footwear.
Beachy, wavy hair
Summer is the time to put away your hair dryer. Give your hair a rest by incorporating a few products, and a few simple tricks. Try a sea salt spray (that you could even make yourself!), spritz at roots, then twist to create loose waves. Or tame the frizz with some styling cream, shape into curls with your fingers, and go!
Add some colorful accessories by playing up your jewelry. Stack loads of colorful bracelets—cord bracelets in particular are very popular this season—to create a fun arm party. Or go for earrings with bright beads or colorful crystals that are instant statement-makers.
Summer is a great time to play with new scents. Try something fruity, or something crisp—(think of fresh laundry with hints of floral). It’s an instant pick-me up and an easy change to your everyday style.
