The temperature is still in the 90’s, but that hasn’t stopped me from thinking about Fall Fashion. A lot. InStyle Your Look is a new special issue that will inspire your wardrobe! Start your Fall shopping with the most-wanted pieces of the season:
Chunky turtlenecks, from boxy and cropped to lean and long, are your go-to for cozy chic this season. While head-to-toe knits were all over the runway, for every day dressing, we suggest pairing these big knits with light layers, like peekaboo shirttails, a tissue-thin T, or a flowy silk dress.
2) Winter Pastels

Sophisticated and truly feminine, these pretty hues are as bracing as they are unexpected when it’s 25 degrees outside. (Check out Rihanna for proof!) For the most elegant vibe, combine a soft Easter egg shade with pale gray, camel or winter white.
3) Wrap Coats
Outwear takes its cues from the spa with this simple, robe-like design, an unstructured silhouette starring your waist. Keep in mind that the taller you are, the longer you can go. And you don’t need to stick with the belt that came with your coat; use a wide leather one with a metal buckle or a suede tie you can cinch and knot in front.
4) Neutral Plaids

This season’s take on the pattern is more English gentry than grunge rocker; it’s softer and less graphic. (SJP shows how it’s done!) Stylist Kate Young, who works with Michelle Williams, recommends pairing it with a print in the same colors. Since it’s understated, “it will play well with florals.”
5) Jewel Toned Leather
Ruby, sapphire, and emerald – you’ve never seen skin (real or fake) like this before. Leather pencil skirts are everywhere, but the material is also showing up in surprising ways, such as a fringe gown and a quilted-sleeve moto. Dress it up or down; pair it with denim, silk or wool. Just remember, it’s the easiest to pull off in small doses, according to stylist Joseph Cassell.
