LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The kickoff of the London 2012 Summer Olympics has got me thinking about all things British.
Oh, how I miss a trip through the beauty department of fabulous department store, Liberty of London.
Even if we can’t all make it to London, we can still enjoy the veddy best of British beauty brands, no passport needed, thanks to the Internet!
TOPSHOP MAKEUP: I’ve been obsessed with the clothes at Topshop for years, but the makeup is pretty good too… very on-trend and reasonably priced. The packaging is hip and fun and there are a good range of colors and products without being overwhelming. www.topshop.com
BOOTS: I love, love, love this British institution and every trip to London would include a stop at Boots drug stores to load up on their Botanics line. You can get the Botanics line, which includes makeup, skincare and bath and body products, online or at Target. www.ShopBootsUSA.com
JO MALONE LONDON: I’ve been wearing Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia Cologne all summer, which instantly transports me to a dewy English garden. It’s fresh, clean and yummy, like so many of the Jo Malone scents. No wonder the very British and very Posh, Victoria Beckham is a fan of the brand. www.jomalone.com
COWSHED: Whenever I get an invite to the SoHo House, I always love using the Cowshed products there. The packaging is sleek and the names of the products are awesome… Horny Cow Seductive Bath and Body Oil, Knackered Cow Relaxing Body Lotion, Slender Cow Detoxifying Body Scrub. You get the picture! www.cowshedonline.com
BUTTER LONDON: Go for the Gold! The hip British brand has created an “Olympic Heavy Medal Collection” nail polish set featuring three metallic shades… gold, silver and bronze, naturally! $36 for the set at www.butterlondon.com
