Glam Slam: Makeup Mondays: The Keira Knightley Edition
How gorgeous is Keira Knightley? I think she is one of the most beautiful women on the planet- her skin always looks luminous! How does the newly engaged actress achieve that radiant look? Good genes, of course, but she also got a little help from Chanel Celebrity Makeup Artist Kate Lee, who created Keira’s makeup for the screening of her film “Seeking A Friend For The End of The World”
Inspiration: We decided the look should be bright and clean with a few gentle hues of color.
Skincare: I prepped Keira’s skin with CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum, then applied CHANEL UV Essentiel SPF 50 for sun protection, but also providing a base for make up.
Foundation: I used a tiny amount of CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 to even out her skin tone and add luminescence to the complexion. One cheek bones, bridge of nose, inside corners of the eyes and the crest of the upper lip, I used Make Up Forever Up Light to create luminosity and brightness.
Blush: On the cheeks I used By Terry Rose De Rose cheek tint to add a pink shine, and then on the apples only I used CHANEL Powder Blush in Tumulte to pop the pink.
Eye Shadow: On Keira’s eyes, I added a peach pink shadow to the outer third of her socket and blended softly under the eye. In the center of the lid, CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Abstraction (available November 2012) was the perfect pink peach to add some shimmery dimension.
Mascara: Lashes were curled with CHANEL Precision Eyelash Curler, and given a light coat of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara to just at the base of the lashes which helps hold the curl, then I used a selection of strip and individual lashes to create soft natural looking lashes.
Lips: On the lips was a mixture of CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Liberte, mixed with CHANEL Rouge Coco Baume.
Hair Piece: Red Floral metal headband - CHANEL 2012/13 Cruise Collection
