Glam Slam: Makeup Mondays - The Zoe Saldana Edition
Zoe Saldana’s Oscar gown was one of my favorites — I just found it to be so unique, flattering and feminine.
Her makeup and hair perfectly complimented the Alexis Mabille gown and here, the breakdown of how to get her stunning hair and makeup.
WHO: Chanel Celebrity Makeup Artist Vera Steimberg
INSPIRATION: My inspiration for Zoe’s look came from her amazing classic French chic silhouette style dress. I used soft palettes for a natural, sensual, feminine look around her face.
SKINCARE: Her skin was given hydration with CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum followed by CHANEL Sublimage La Crème. For the eyes, I used CHANEL Sublimage La Crème Yeux Eye Cream.
FOUNDATION: I started with CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra--‐ Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and then combined CHANEL Perfection Lumière Long--‐Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in 44 Beige Ambre and 94 Ambre to perfectly match her skintone.
BLUSH: After a light dusting of CHANEL Poudre Signèe de Chanel Illuminating Powder on her high cheekbones, I applied CHANEL Powder Blush in Frivole.
EYES: Zoe’s eyes were the big focus! I started by applying CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Mirifique all over her eyelid and CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Fantasme under her eyebrows as a highlighter. On the edges of her eyelid, I used CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Smoky Eyes to give the outer part of her eyes depth. On her inner eyelid I carefully applied CHANEL Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long--‐Lasting Eyeliner in Santal. For a final bit of drama, I finished her eyes with a black liquid liner and CHANEL Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir.
LIPS: I finished with CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Chic for a soft lip color that complements the gray in her dress.
WHO: Celebrity Stylist Mara Roszak for Moroccanoil.
“The dress was very modern, and I wanted to create a simple hair look that had a chic, French feel to it, and to look clean, healthy and beautiful,” said Mara. The look had a glamorous and feminine 30’s mood, further softened into a loose wave and parted to the side.
“I started by applying Moroccanoil Treatment to wet hair for a beautiful, natural looking shine, and then blow-dried.”
“Next, I parted the hair to one side, then waved it with 1.5” barrel iron, working away from her face.”
“After the hair was waved, I brushed it out lightly with a Moroccanoil XLPRO Paddle Brush, then tucked it behind her ears since I wanted it to keep it behind her shoulders.”
“I then sprayed the entire look with Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray for even more shine.”
“To finish, I sprayed with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium for a hold that looked soft, natural and let the hair move.”
