“The People Magazine thing was the best motivation ever!” Melissa Joan Hart told us about posing in her bikini!
Ya think? Personally - I wouldn’t DREAM of posing in a bathing suit, unless I was in super shape too. (And I’m talking just family photos, not the cover of a national magazine! lol!)
Melissa is especially proud of her bikini body because she worked so hard for it. The mother of two lost 42 pregnancy pounds!
“I was like, as soon as my doctor gives me the okay, I want to hit it hard at the gym,” says Melissa.
How did Melissa do it? Intensive workouts four times a week. She works out with Mark Harari, owner of LA’s Pulse Fitness Studio.
“You’ve gotta have variation in your workout constantly,” Mark recommends. “Its gotta be different.”
Melissa mixes up her workout routine by doing both strength training and cardio exercises.
Her go to exercises? Lunges to tone her legs.
“My main target areas has always been my thighs,” Melissa says.
To burn more calories, she engages arms with bicep curls and adds side twists. To get her heart rate up, she boxes with Mark.
“I feel good, I feel strong, ready to go. Ready to play with the kids!”
