LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- One of the best reasons to watch “Project Runway” is judge Michael Kors. He’s witty and sassy, and calls it like he sees it. The designer hasn’t been on nearly as much as we’d like this season, but good news, he’s back and in typical fabulous form for tonight’s challenge - transforming wedding gowns into divorcee dresses! Thank goodness the new Fall fashion trends aren’t quite that dramatic! Here Michael shares his Fall wardrobe picks with Glam Slam.
MICHAEL’S MUST HAVES
BLACKBlack is the new Black! This Fall there was tons of black, but this is not basic black. Try for a more architectural shape - think origami folds and tucks.
NEONThe 80s are back! It is the color of the season, but be careful keep the shape clean - a strapless sheath or a collarless coat.
TAILORINGWe need to accept that suit is not a dirty word. It’s time to return to tailoring - a strong shoulder, but no 80s power suits. There is a whole generation of 20-year-olds who now need invest in a great suit.
MAJOR SHOESTough clothes call for tough shoes - black patent platform pumps, mary janes and strappy heels.
STRUCTURED ACCESSORIES A stainless steel trim clutch. Architectural shoes. Bold necklace - think a chic bike chain choker.
Tune in to “Project Runway” tonight at 10 PM on Lifetime.
