Talk about one busy party-filled weekend. (We like those!)

On Saturday, my 3-year-old daughter got the full-on Disney princess experience when we hit the Disney Studios lot in Burbank for a special premiere of the new animated television movie “Sofia The First: Once Upon a Princess.”

This new fairy-tale for Disney Junior features Disney’s first girl princess and “Modern Family” star Ariel Winter is the voice of the adorable Sofia.

My daughter loved the movie, especially the special appearances by Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty’s Fairy Godmothers Flora, Fauna and Merryweather.

The Fairy Godmothers also came to the post-premiere party and took photos with the kids and my daughter went nuts because they are “real.” There were plenty of activities to make any girl feel like a true princess complete with “Sofia” crowns to wear, face painting, balloon artists and crafts.

Speaking of crafts, my daughter had an entire day of arts-related activities, when she, my husband and I got to attend the 14th Annual P.S. Arts Express Yourself event, which supports arts education. This creative art fair takes over an entire plane hangar at the Santa Monica Airport and there is 40,000 square feet of fun and food!

Julie Bowen (wearing the same Steve Madden booties I own!) was there with her kids and I also saw Lisa Kudrow, Jason Bateman, Kevin Nealon and Mark Feuerstein.

Most of the girls (my daughter included) love the glam treatment they get at the E! Fashion Police booth, where they get hair and makeup, sparkly clothes and then get to “walk” a runway, which is turned into a fun flip book.

We also spent a lot of time making bracelets and necklaces, aprons and a fun pink superhero cape. I am not crafty at all, but luckily there are plenty of others who are…the popular event helped raise $500,000 for public school art programs!
