LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The last couple of weeks have been wall-to-wall coverage of the election and Hurricane Sandy and understandably so.
But it’s nice to take a little break, a little mental getaway, and just think about something fun and frivolous like fashion for a moment.
There was actually a lot going on this week and here is the best of the best.
BEST DRAPING: Halle Berry looks like a modern day goddess in this hip Helmut Lang dress at the “Cloud Atlas” premiere in Berlin. The draping is figure flattering and the side slit shows off a little bit of leg. Silver accessories and Jimmy Choo heels perfectly compliment the dress.
BEST COLOR: Love the bright pop of color of Kerry Washington’s gorgeous silk fuchsia gown. Her Temperley London “Delilah Side Bow Dress,” which is from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection, is extremely flattering thanks to the detailing at the waist.
BEST FLORAL: Polished and pretty! Jessica Alba does the ladylike thing to perfection in this beautiful Valentino. She paired the feminine pink floral-print gown with Harry Winston jewelry, Jimmy Choo shoes and Roger Vivier clutch for the Baby2Baby gala.
BEST LACE: The always sexy Eva Mendes wows us once again, this time in a low-cut Dolce & Gabbana that hugs every curve and shows off that fantastic body of hers! She finished the look with simple black Brian Atwood heels, black Sergio Rossi clutch with gold accents, and loosely tousled hair. She reminds me of Sofia Loren. Classy and chic.
…AND BEST UNDRESSED GOES TO… Rihanna for the revealing outfit she wore to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show. Her Vivienne Westwood corset shows off the girls and whittles her waist to practically nothing and the skirt, well, it’s so high cut we see all her undergarments. Perfect for the occasion and actually kind of tame for the normally risqué singer.
