Glam Slam: Things To Do In June
No time for “June Gloom”… there’s too much going on to keep us all smiling and looking stylish. Here are a few things to check out… and don’t forget Father’s Day is June 16.
SUMMER MOVIES ARE HERE
Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy team up for the buddy cop comedy ‘The Heat.’ Opens June 28. More zombie action heading your way with Brad Pitt’s “World War Z” hitting theaters June 21. Also opening June 21, something a bit more family friendly- “Monsters University” - featuring the voices of Billy Crystal and John Goodman.
VERY GUILTY PLEASURE
“Keeping up with The Kardashians” kicked off the new 18-episode season this past weekend. Check out the Kardashian drama all summer long, including, of course, Kim’s much publicized pregnancy.
For more feathers, sequins and rhinestones than an entire season of “Dancing with the Stars,” make sure you don’t miss HBO’s “Behind the Candelabra” which airs through June. The movie, starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, explores the decadent life and love of Vegas legend Liberace and his much younger lover, Scott Thorson. Check local listings.
THOSE “SUMMER NIGHTS”…
… along with “Summer Breeze” and “Summer Solstice.” LATHER skin care company is introducing three new body oil blends this month, just in time to help moisturize your skin during the hot weather. Safflower seed, avocado oil and Vitamin E are among the ingredients and the oils can be used in the bath, after showering or as a message oil. $16 at www.lather.com
