LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

The New York Times Sunday Styles section (my fave!) did a story this past weekend about people “breaking up” with a brand that they loved. I had never thought of that, but it’s so true!

For years, I bought Tucker blouses, which are printed tops in a blousy, peasant style. Tucker is known for its prints and each season would offer new and different patterns. I don’t know what it was, but I was such a sucker for those shirts. They are so easy to wear, just throw one on and you’re good to go!

Tucker even did a collection for Target’s designer collaboration, and I bought nearly every piece—I was that much of a fan. Over the years, I’ve amassed a small collection.

But something changed recently—I’m just not that into Tucker anymore. I’m not sure why. I guess I could ask myself, how many versions of the same shirt do I need? Maybe it’s boredom, buying the same ol’ same ol’; maybe I “outgrew” the brand.

Whatever it is, I’ve fallen out of love. I’ve moved on which, in the long run, could be a good thing for my over-stuffed closet and especially my wallet, because these shirts are expensive.

Now, I just need to deal with my obsession with J. Crew ballet flats…
