The stars of “Glee” celebrated their upcoming 100th episode on Monday night – airing in March – and the late Cory Monteith’s presence was felt.
Access Hollywood’s Liz Hernandez chatted with the cast as they celebrated their milestone while still remembering their former co-star.
“They honor him beautifully,” Amber Riley said of Finn’s presence in the 100th episode. “He was a brother to us and we love him.”
Jenna Ushkowitz explained that the character and late co-star’s presence has never left.
“Finn is honored in every episode, he’s always with us and he’s always here. We always laugh about things he would say or do,” she said of the milestone. “He’s definitely mentioned more than usual.”
Matthew Morrison took the opportunity took look back on the pilot episode, where he and Cory first worked together.
“Today I’ve been thinking a lot about the very first scene we ever shot for ‘Glee.’ It was me and Cory and I was accusing him of having weed in his locker that I stashed,” he recalled. “That was the
start of the roller-coaster. I’ve been thinking about him a lot today. We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him. He put a lot of this show on his back.”
Jane Lynch told Access that everyone on set is reminded of Cory daily.
“We have his picture in the choir room and we get to look at his beautiful mug every day,” she said. “And he was beautiful man inside and out and we all think about him every day.”
