“Golden Girl” Rue McClanahan is doing well after completing heart bypass surgery in New York.
“She is doing absolutely great,” her rep tells Access. “She went for her physical the other day and her doctor didn’t like what he found. As Rue put it, she needed ‘a little work on her ticker.’ She was in great spirits when she went in for surgery yesterday. She’s resting in a hospital in NY and she’ll probably be out in a week.”

“Desperate Housewives” creator and showrunner Marc Cherry is reportedly in talks to develop a spin-off for next fall.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cherry is currently in discussions with ABC about the project. The new project reportedly will have the same tone as the hit ABC show, but currently does not have any set premise.
