The second trailer for “Gone Girl” has debuted – something fans of Gillian Flynn’s bestselling novel have been dying to see.

In the new spot, missing person Amy Dunne (played by Rosamund Pike) is heard reading from her journal as Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck), authorities and volunteers search for her.

Fans also get to see Neil Patrick Harris (who turns in a great creepy performance), Casey Wilson, and Tyler Perry, whose defense attorney character says, “Whatever they found, I think it’s safe to assume that it’s very bad.”

“Gone Girl,” directed David Fincher, hits theaters October 3.
