Meet your preteen Bruce Wayne!
David Mazouz, 13, has landed the role of Bruce Wayne on “Gotham.”
The young star will play the iconic character as he copes with the death of his parents, with the help of Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) and Detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Warner Bros. announced on Tuesday.
The series tells the story of Commissioner James Gordon and will feature the boy – described as “serious and soulful” – who becomes Batman. But, fans won’t necessarily see David suit up in the cape and cowl… though we’d love to see a few flash-forwards at some point!
David was previously seen on “Touch” with Kiefer Sutherland.
Camren Bicondova has been cast in the role Selina Kyle (who eventually becomes Catwoman).
The actor joins previously announced cast members Donal Logue (Gordon’s partner/mentor Harvey Bullock), Jada Pinkett Smith (Fish Mooney), Robin Lord Taylor (Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin) and Erin Richards (Barbara Kean, Gordon’s love interest).
“Gotham” will air on Fox.
