After announcing “Gotham” – the “Batman” prequel TV series – had been picked up for series on Monday, a trailer for the highly anticipated show has debuted.

The first tease shows Detective James Gordon (“The O.C.” and “Southland’s” Ben McKenzie) navigating through the very dark world that will one day become the home of the Dark Knight.

The trailer is filled with young versions of Bruce Wayne, The Penguin, Catwoman, The Riddler and Poison Ivy – plus Jada Pinkett Smith as the pink-haired Fish Mooney.
