Healthy Hollywood loves waking up early and hitting the gym and discovering Men’s tennis season has officially begun. Yipee!
The Australian Open kicked off this week and so did the season of hot guys on the court. Unfortunately, my ultimate favorite, Rafael Nadal, dropped out of the tournament due to an illness, but the rest of the guys are back in action. Andy Murray, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic are all center court.
For Healthy Hollywood, there’s no better viewing on the treadmill than well-toned tennis dudes. Besides, the eye candy, these hard-bodied athletes are an inspiration to eat well and exercise.
Thankfully, Healthy Hollywood stumbled upon an awesome eating plan for anyone who wants to get back on healthy eating track. Tyson Foods has teamed up with the best-selling author of the Hungry Girl cookbook series, Lisa Lillien, on the 30 Days, 30 Ways, 30 online rewards program. The program is designed to help women make and stick to smart-eating resolutions. The site is packed with recipes (all under 400 calories, time-crunched cooking tips and lots of expert advice to cooking and eating healthier.
Tyson Foods & Hungry Girl shared a few simple and healthy recipes.
Too-Good Chicken Torta
(1 serving size)
3 oz. Tyson Grilled & Ready Grilled Chicken Breast Strips
1 100-calorie flat sandwich bun
1 tbsp. mashed avocado
.5 tsp. taco seasoning mix
1 tbsp. diced tomato
.5 tbsp. diced onion
2 tbsp. fat free re-fried beans
1 tbsp. shredded reduced fat-free Mexican-blend cheese
1 lg. tomato slice
.33 cup shredded lettuce
Split bun into halves, and lightly toast. In small bowl, mix avocado with ¼ tsp. taco seasoning. Stir in diced tomato and onion. In another small bowl, mix beans with remaining taco seasoning. Spread seasoned beans onto bottom half of bun. Top with grilled chicken strips. Sprinkle with cheese. Microwave for 45 seconds. Top with tomato and lettuce. Spread top half of the bun with avocado mixture, and place it on top of sandwich.
Greek Chicken Tacos:
3 oz. Tyson cooked grilled chicken breast strips
.25cup shredded romaine lettuce
2 tbsp. chopped red onion
2 tbsp. chopped roasted red peppers
1 tbsp. chopped kalamata olives
1 tbsp. light vinaigrette
2 corn taco shells
2 dashes oregano
2 tbsp. crumbled fat-free feta
In bowl, mix lettuce onion, red peppers, olives and vinaigrette. Divide chicken between taco shells, and sprinkle with oregano. Top with lettuce mixture and feta.
