‘Inglorious Basterds’ star Christoph Waltz earned his first Oscar nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category. Quentin Tarantino’s film tells the story of a group of Jewish-American soldiers, called ‘The Basterds,’ who are selected to spread fear in the Third Reich by massacring Nazis in France during World War II. In the film, Waltz plays Nazi Colonel Hans Landa, (aka ‘The Jew Hunter’) known for his cruel and ruthless ways of locating and killing Jews whom are hiding throughout France.
