HOLLYWOOD, Calif. --

It was no joke when Heidi took a spill on-stage at the Emmy Awards along with the help of co-host Tom Bergeron in order to demonstrate the difference between the “drama” and “comedy” categories.

To demonstrate “drama,” the “Project Runway” beauty fell dramatically into the arms of the “Dancing With the Stars” host.

And then, to demonstrate “comedy”… he dropped her!

But maybe the two should have rehearsed a bit more beforehand, because Heidi ended up with an anything-but-runway-ready-sized bruise on her right thigh.

Of course, neither Bruno Tonioli or Michael Kors were there to save either host – the first Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program Host went to “Survivor’s” Jeff Probst.
