LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Heidi Montag has dismissed reports she receives $100,000 an episode to star on “The Hills.”

On Monday, The Daily Beast reported that several of the stars of the MTV docu-soap earn $100,000 an episode. Spencer, the Web site reported, receives $65,000 an episode. But Heidi said the information is wrong.

“We have never made that and we are not making that,” the blonde told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush for Access and “The Billy Bush Show.” “I wish that were true!”

Heidi would not disclose the amount she actually earns.

”[It’s] top secret, but it is not what you would think at all,” she told Billy.

“I do ‘The Hills’ for the love of it. I don’t do it for the money,” she added.

The report claimed Audrina Patridge, Lauren “Lo” Bosworth and Heidi were each taking home $100,000 per episode; Kristin Cavallari earns $90,000; Spencer earns $65,000 and Brody Jenner earns  $45,000. But Heidi told Billy the salary report was not correct.

“Those figures are definitely say are wrong. We all do it because we love it, not because it’s a job,” she told Billy.

When Billy asked if it was fair to say that Heidi makes more than Spencer on the show, Heidi said, “No and those figures are not correct. No one is making those figures.”

Heidi continued, “We have never made that and we are not making that. I wish that were true!”

Heidi also said she does not know what new “Hills” star Kristin Cavallari earns.

“I don’t know what anyone makes to be honest,” she said.

The new season of “The Hills” premieres tonight at 10:00pm ET/PT on MTV.
