Former “The Hills” stars Heidi Pratt (nee Montag) and Spencer Pratt head to “Celebrity Wife Swap” tonight, pairing up for the switch with Olympic gold medalist Amanda Beard, and her husband, Sacha Brown.
“I’m such a big fan of the show, I’ve always loved it and then [when] we had the opportunity, I was like, ‘Spencer, we’re doing this,’ and I was really excited,” Heidi told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush on Tuesday. “I was hoping I would get someone with kids because I obviously want kids too, so I wanted to get a taste of motherhood,”
Heidi said her experience around Amanda and Sacha’s children was incredible, and made her long for motherhood even more.
“I think it was a better fit than I even anticipated,” she told Billy. “It was just such a joy and so fulfilling and fun. I mean, it just was really rewarding too at the end of the day, so I think Spencer’s in trouble you know? We’ve never been so divided on our decision about children.”
Heidi wants children, but Spencer isn’t ready for parenthood.
“Yeah, he’s just not ready. And I think financially he wants to be a little more stable and I appreciate that and support that and everything, but sometimes, you know, there’s never a good time for things,” Heidi said.
The reality star said she will eventually get her way. In fact, she’s already trimmed down their parental calendar.
“I definitely always win, so I’m sure that I will win,” Heidi explained. “It went from never, to 10 years, to three years, so I’m eventually gonna get down to like, one.”
Heidi hopes that Spencer will be moved enough by watching what his wife went through on “Celebrity Wife Swap,” to take the leap toward becoming a mom and dad.
“I’m definitely ready I think I was able to prove my motherly skills within ‘Wife Swap,’ and I think that was really fun for me and hopefully, Spencer will be able to see that I will be able to step up and he doesn’t have as much to worry about as maybe he thinks,” she said.
“Celebrity Wife Swap” airs Tuesday at 10/9c on ABC.
