LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

While catty might as well be a main character in “The Hills,” when it comes to Whitney Port possibly getting her own show, pal Lauren Conrad couldn’t be happier.

“I think that Whitney will do really well with it,” LC told Us Weekly. “She is a very likable person… I hope they do the show.”

On Thursday, Us Weekly reported MTV had a “Hills” spin-off in the works, which would follow Whitney coast to cast, as she works for fashion PR firm People’s Revolution.

And now that she’s a reality veteran in her own right, does Lauren have any advice for her friend?

“I would just tell her to have fun with it,” she added. “She’s always made it very clear on ‘The Hills’ that she doesn’t want her personal life involved in the show, so it would definitely mean that she would have to come out of her comfort zone.”

But when it came to Whitney, she remained mum on the subject.

“As far as I know, I’ve just been filming for a fourth season of ‘The Hills.’ Everything is just kind of hearsay at this point,” she told Us. “The thought of it sounds a little scary because I’ve always tried to keep things a little bit private. I just have to take everything day by day.”

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for MTV said they could not confirm the spin-off report.
