LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Caption Kara DioGuardi chats with Access Hollywood at the Grammys MusiCares event, Feb. 6, 2009Earlier this week, “American Idol’s” Bikini Girl, Katrina Darrell, revealed to Access Hollywood that she has been approached by a popular men’s magazine. And, according to “Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi, that is exactly the direction the woman who auditioned in a swimsuit, should take her career in.
“Playboy, did I hear Playboy? She was maybe doing something for Playboy?” Kara told Access on the Grammy MusiCares red carpet Friday evening in Los Angeles. “I actually called that months ago. I thought that was great for her.”
When Katrina stopped by Access Hollywood on Thursday, she told Tony Potts that though she is off “Idol” now, she hopes to return via the upcoming Wild Card round.
“They have three wild cards and they bring contestants back, and I should have one of the three,” Katrina said.
But the news was not welcomed by Kara when Access shared it with the new judge, who previously sparred with the contender when she first auditioned.
“Hmmm… It’s kind of like that line in ‘Dumb and Dumber.’ ‘One in a million. So you’re saying I got a chance?’ Yeah, it’s kind of her ‘one in a million.’ Well, for me at least,” Kara laughed. “Simon? It would probably top the list.”
