Shia LaBeouf is pulling the plug on his Broadway debut.
The star of the “Transformers” franchise had been slated to appear opposite Alec Baldwin in “Orphans” but producers said Wednesday that LaBeouf would not be continuing “due to creative differences.”

“I treated her sort of the way Harrison [Ford] treated me,” Shia told Access Hollywood guest correspondent Tim Vincent during a press tour for the film in Moscow on Friday, referencing his 2008 team-up with the legendary Ford for the fifth installment of the “Indiana Jones” franchise. “Like, you’ve gotta earn your keep. I can’t carry you this whole way.”

If the cute, cuddly alien of Steven Spielberg’s “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” had been imprisoned for decades by those cruel government guys chasing him, the result might have been something like J.J. Abrams’ “Super 8.”
Set around the same time as “E.T.”, Abrams’ alien tale had a key assist from Spielberg, a producer on the film about a group of kids whose homemade movie turns into a real sci-fi adventure when their camera captures a train wreck that unleashes an alien entity.
