  Isaiah Washington vs. Cast of “Grey’s Anatomy” (2007): Some controversies make careers, others end them. “Grey’s Anatomy” star Isaiah Washington’s use of an anti-gay slur towards co-star T.R. Knight made news when Washington responded to questions at the Golden Globes about reports that his use of the slur on set resulted in a brief fight with series star Patrick Dempsey. The rest of the cast jumped to Knight’s defense, invited the criticism of Katherine Heigl and eventually led to his dismissal from the popular series. Looks like the greatest drama always happens off-camera.
