LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Kimora Lee Simmons and partner Djimon Hounsou have welcomed a baby boy.

The model-turned-reality show star gave birth to the couple’s son on Saturday, a rep for the star confirmed to Access Hollywood.

“Kimora and Djimon are the proud parents of a new baby boy. Both mother and child are doing great,” a rep for the star told Access.

Hours before the birth, Kimora Tweeted on her Baby Phat fashion line’s Twitter page about going into labor.

“It’s time !! No turning back!” she wrote on Friday night. “At hospital in labor right now!”

Two hours after her first Tweet, she wrote, “Having contractions now! Ooo- wee! It’s like WHOA!” and posted a Twitpic of herself in the hospital.

The son, whose name has not yet been released, is the first child for the couple. Kimora has two daughters — Ming Lee and Aoki Lee — with ex-husband Russell Simmons.
